Campus Renewal Project
“Without the next generation of world-class musicians, the world will be poorer. More than anything, this prospect drives us to do what we do at PMP.”
The Campaign For Toby’s Dream: Preserving Toby & Itzhak’s Legacy
For 30 years, PMP has been a leader in classical music training, fostering a community that shapes lives and inspires future leaders. More than a summer music program, PMP is a home away from home where students grow as musicians and individuals. To ensure its ongoing success, we’re embarking on a transformative campus renovation.
By modernizing our facilities while preserving PMP’s rustic, playful and nurturing spirit, we’ll create a world-class learning environment committed to excellence where students can thrive, explore, and achieve their full potential. This ambitious project will upgrade our century-old campus, enhancing accessibility, sustainability, and the overall experience for students, faculty, and audiences.
The Project
PMP partnered with SKOLNICK Architecture + Design to develop a master plan to reimagine its century-old campus. We will upgrade deteriorating facilities to better serve the PMP community and audience.
Upgrade facilities while maintaining the camp’s spirit
Preserve the campus’s character while improving buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. Replace facilities in-kind, keeping the same population size and beloved look.
Enhance accessibility
Improve pathways, circulation, parking, and public amenities.
Ensure sustainability
Utilize eco-friendly materials, solar power, and innovative water systems.
Phase I
Phase I of the Campus Renewal Project will center around a newly-built Campus Center, to include a dining hall, rec and rehearsal spaces, wellness center, and an archive and library overlooking Peconic Bay. We will upgrade infrastructure campus-wide, improve outdoor spaces for student and community use, including a central lawn and picnic area, and introduce public amenities such as a welcome center, public restrooms and improved roadways. Finally, we will add essential faculty housing, with three faculty cabins for senior faculty.
Join us in investing in the future of classical music!
