Groundbreaking Celebration Ceremony & Concert
On Thursday, August 14, we officially broke ground, kicking off construction of Phase I at camp! Festivities began with a groundbreaking ceremony led by board member Mark Miller, in which Littles had the honor of wielding golden shovels and making the first strikes into Shelter Island soil.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed food and sweets from local vendors in our picnic area, taking full advantage of the day’s perfect weather. Others indulged in lawn games, or joined the Littles for an informational campus tour to learn more about the upcoming construction.
To conclude the evening, the Littles presented a joyous concert in the Performance Tent, featuring solos, chamber music, chorus, and orchestra!
We couldn’t be more grateful for the immense support from our community and partners, as well as our amazing students, alumni, and faculty, as we undertake this ambitious project!
