Construction Resumes at Camp (And So Does the Music!)
With the conclusion of our summer programs, construction on the interior of the Gladstone Campus Center has resumed once more. This past weekend, as we welcomed five PMP alumni back to camp for two magical performances, we took the opportunity to introduce them to the renewed dining hall and kitchen, along with some of the other spaces still undergoing renovation.
Inside the dining hall, it may look a little messier than we left it, but that’s only to protect everything from the fresh coat of paint on the walls. Up above, another addition: sleek chandelier light fixtures to keep things bright after dark.
The building’s main entrance and foyer will be home to the beloved ping pong and foosball tables, and a pleasant bay window where students can relax and enjoy the view.
In the basement, the main recreation area is still in progress, but the Wellness Center is almost complete! This space includes a reception area, the nurse’s quarters, and three individual rooms should students need to isolate while recovering from an illness.
Exiting through the walk-out basement, you can admire the complete siding along the base of the building.
Back indoors on the second floor, both the future Itzhak Perlman Library and Archive and the additional rehearsal space enjoy stunning views and an abundance of natural light. We can’t wait to fill these rooms with music.
(Literally. We have mountains of sheet music!)
