Dorothy DeLay Planned Giving Society

The Perlman Music Program’s Planned Giving Society is named after the late Miss Dorothy DeLay. As Toby Perlman has said, Miss DeLay was “a violin pedagogue whose nurturing and supportive approach to teaching is emulated in everything we do at PMP”.

As a student of Miss DeLay, Itzhak Perlman learned the value of guiding a student’s progress through positive reinforcement, encouragement, and support.

As a friend, teacher, and mentor to Toby Perlman, Miss DeLay was a driving force behind the establishment of The Perlman Music Program, including serving on the advisory board through the crucial first few years.

Miss DeLay’s remarkable teaching ability has left a lasting legacy on the music world and continually guides PMP’s approach to producing the next generation of classical music leaders.
