We believe that every child who studies music, from the youngest beginner on up, and every parent who supervises a practice, can learn from watching a PMP rehearsal.

“The summer program chooses from among the very best young string prodigies in the world and helps them become better musicians. The staff is uniquely nurturing and respectful of the campers as individuals, always remembering that they are young people, not just young musicians. Because of the Program’s ‘whole person’ philosophy and year-round mentoring , the experience with the Program lays the groundwork for the students to become master teachers as well as first-rate musicians, while not suffering the burn-out that can be associated with life as a prodigy.

We have been impressed with the warmth and caring in the relationship between the teachers and students, and among the musicians. The atmosphere is so positive, even while the learning is so intense, that our young children love to watch the rehearsals when we visit the camp in the summer. We believe that every child who studies music, from the youngest beginner on up, and every parent who supervises a practice, can learn from watching one of the Program’s rehearsals.

Studying music is hard work and it is a joy. Through the Program’s unique approach, campers experience both, while nurturing their talent and loving the music they play.”
