Works in Progress are free concerts that take place in the Geffenberg Performance Tent every Friday and Saturday night during the Summer Music School on Shelter Island.
Works in Progress concerts also happen throughout the year as part of the Alumni Concerts and Mentorship program and during the Sarasota Winter Residency.
Works in Progress concerts give students the opportunity to perform and polish pieces they are currently studying with faculty. These informal concerts provide students with a supportive and nurturing environment where they are free to take artistic risks without feeling the pressure associated with a formal recital.
