Alec Galambos started playing the piano at 8, starting singing soon after, and began composing while pursuing a B.A. at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He has since written for chamber ensembles, SATB choir, string quartet, voice, piano, and electronics, and has created over thirty vocal arrangements, most of which have been performed and recorded.
Alec has served as a music director and conductor for vocal ensembes and music theater productions, and has enjoyed opportunities to teach music theory, ear training, piano, and music theater. He is also a fledgling virtuoso of the baby accordion.
Alec is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Composition and Film Scoring at NYU, and loves living, working, performing, and studying in New York City.
