Sherry Peregrin joined The Perlman Music Program in 1998 as Program Coordinator, and has worked as the Program’s Executive Director of Administration since 2004.
Born and raised in New York’s Hudson Valley, Ms. Peregrin moved to Italy to live and study Art History at the University of Florence. Returning to New York, she worked with the fashion designer Halston as the Director of his made-to-order division before teaming up with jewelry designer Elsa Peretti, launching and developing her brand in the American market. Supporting these individual talents helped her fashion the tools necessary to balance the priorities of an individual with the demands of an organization.
Ms. Peregrin then moved into the not-for-profit sector as a Financial Systems Administrator for the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, where she negotiated with insurance companies on behalf of both patients and psychotherapists, as well serving as a liaison between ICP and the greater medical community.
As PMP’s Executive Director of Administration, Ms. Peregrin works closely with Mr. and Mrs. Perlman, as well as PMP’s Board of Directors, faculty, and Development team to ensure the efficient operation of all of the Program’s administrative and operational systems.
